Growing up the daughter of a female boat captain was a magical thing to begin with. I have memories of our live-aboard Hatteras and all the little things that made it feel like home. Like a needlepoint pillow on our galley chair that said “Red sky at night sailors delight. Red sky in morning sailors take warning”. These are the memories i love most and hold dearest.
